The Wender Weis Foundation for Children is excited to welcome you back in a safe and healthy environment with the following protocols in place:

As the event approaches, we will adjust this protocol in accordance with California guidelines. As of now, we will welcome vaccinated guests ages 12+ and those showing proof of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the event. Guests ages 5-11 can attend if they are fully or partially vaccinated OR provide a negative test. Guests under 5 can attend with proof of a negative test. For negative tests, we will accept PCR tests taken within 72 hours of the event or antigen [rapid] tests taken within 24 hours of the event.

Each individual age 18+ will be required to present either: 

  • An approved government-issued identification that matches the vaccination card

  • Proof of vaccination

  • Negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event

Each individual age 12 – 17 will be required to present either:

  • Proof of vaccination

  • Negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event

Attendees under the age of 12 will be required to present:

  • Proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test

Please have your photo identification and proof of vaccination (Ages 12 and over) and negative test (Ages 11 and under) ready at check-in.


Per the CDC Guidelines, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or two weeks after the single-dose J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. To meet this requirement, the latest date that you can be vaccinated with the second shot is Monday, 11/22/2021. For more information on the pediatric vaccine in the Bay Area, please click HERE.

PCR TESTING (Ages 11 and under)

The following companies provide digital vaccine cards approved for use by San Francisco businesses. Please follow the below links and instructions on how to set up.

  • State of California Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record

    • Fill out the required fields to receive a link to a QR code and digital copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record

  • CLEAR Digital Vaccine Card

    • Download the CLEAR app using this LINK on your smartphone and follow the prompts to enroll. There are a few options to digitally verify your COVID-19 vaccine. Start by clicking “Add my Vaccination” under the Digital vaccine card tile. Then, please select the option that works best for you:

      Digitally link a vaccine
      • Select your vaccine provider in the menu or by searching “other providers.” Log in to your patient portal and follow instructions to securely link your account with CLEAR. The CLEAR app is integrated with select healthcare providers and pharmacies.
      • If you are unable to find your provider in search, CLEAR may not be able to link with them at this time.
      • Check that your COVID-19 vaccine appears in your patient portal; if not, we recommend you reach out to your provider directly.
      • Your results will link automatically – do not try to resync your results.
      • Note, sync time varies by provider and may take up to 30 minutes.
      • Once synced, proceed to complete your Health Pass

      Upload a photo of your CDC Vaccine Card
      • When prompted to add your vaccination, select “add your vaccination card.”
      • Take a photo of your vaccination card and confirm your vaccine information.
      • Please note, the photo of your CDC card is just used to generate a Health Pass. You will not be able to access it again after it is taken.
      • Once confirmed, proceed to complete your Health Pass

  • VaxYes

    • Download the VaxYes app using this LINK on your smartphone and follow the prompts to enroll.

  • MyChart by Epic

    • Click on the MyChart LINK and click on “Access MyAccount”

    • Select your State

    • Select your Medical Provider

    • Follow the steps to see the QR code generated within your account

Masks required:
All attendees over the age of 2 are required to wear a face coverings at all times, except while actively eating and drinking in a sanctioned area.

Food and beverage stations will be located throughout the Promenade Level and there will be designated “safe areas” for seating.

Health & Safety:

If you are not feeling well, please DO NOT ATTEND the event.

The Wender Weis Foundation is carefully monitoring the evolving pandemic and continues to follow the health guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of California, and the City and County of San Francisco. We are excited to convene in person and are planning accordingly to ensure the safety of attendees, volunteers, and staff.

By attending Holiday Heroes 2021 in San Francisco, CA, on December 7, 2021, you agree to abide by and engage in certain health-and-safety- beneficial conduct while attending the event. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing a mask at all times indoors in public areas, engaging in appropriate physical distancing, and not attending the event if you are ill or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.


By attending this event, you acknowledge and attest to the following:

  • I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in compliance with the public health guidelines of the United States.

  • I agree to wear my mask on-site at Holiday Heroes when I am not actively eating and drinking

  • I agree to not attend the event if I or the guests in my party are not feeling well

  • If I test positive for COVID-19, I will notify Wender Weis Foundation for Children immediately, as well as my close contacts, isolate myself, and seek further testing and care as directed by the current CDC guidance.
